The Delaware Blue Coats, the Philadelphia 76ers’ G League affiliate, are hiring Brad Jones as their next general manager, according to team sources.
Sixers president Mike Gansey and executive vice president of basketball operations Jameer Nelson selected Jones for the role, sources said. The job opened after former Blue Coats GM Ariana Andonian left last month to run the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.
Jones began his career with the Orlando Magic when Nelson played there. He worked his way up from intern to a position on the video and personnel staff. He most recently spent the past eight years in the G League offices in New York, where he handled player contracts and transactions, basketball operations and basketball affairs, and player personnel.
Delaware finished 18-18 last season. The Blue Coats open the 2026-27 G League season on Nov. 6 at home against the Capital City Go-Go.
